Ejemplos:
If they'd (they had) played better, they would have won the match.
Ejemplos:
If I had worked harder, I would have got a promotion.
WOULD se lee WUD
Ejemplos:
I could have been... (capacidad)
I might have been... (posibilidad)
"Third Conditional" se forma con if + "Past Perfect", Would have + Participio Pasado.
Ejemplos:
If I'd (I HAD) worked harder, I would have passed the exam.
Ejemplos:
If I'd (I HAD) seen him, I would have said hello.
I would have said hello if (I HAD) seen him.
"Would" puede sustituirse por "could" o "might" para expresar capacidad o posibilidad.
Ejemplos:
I might have got the job if I had arrived on time for the interview.
had + not = hadn't
would + not = wouldn't
Ejemplos:
I wouldn't have got wet if I hadn't forgoten my umbrella.
We could have been millionaires if we -had won- the lottery. -Third Conditional - win
We could have been millionaires if we WOULD HAVE BOUGHT the lottery. ???
WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF YOU HAD BEEN IN MY POSITION? - have done: haber hecho - would --- have done: habria hecho
If I had been in your position, I would have rant
Which cities would you have visited if you'd (you had: hubiera- auxiliar) had (tenido- verbo) more time?
Third Conditional - may get:
She might have got the job if she'd written a better cover letter.
